‘I can’t wait until Klopp leaves’, shouts Gary Neville live on Sky Sports after Liverpool’s Carabao Cup final win
GARY NEVILLE declared live on air that he “can’t wait until Jurgen Klopp leaves Liverpool.”
The Manchester United legend was on punditry duty for Sky Sports as he watched his rivals bag under trophy under departing boss Klopp.
Anfield’s favourite German played a blinder in yesterday’s Carabao Cup final as his Kop kids defeated Chelsea 1-0 at Wembley.
It marked the start of a potential quadruple for Klopp, who will leave Liverpool this summer after almost a decade.
He has already won every trophy possible in European club football with the Reds.
And Neville couldn’t help admitting he is counting down the days until Klopp’s exit — presumably because it will give United a far greater chance of finally winning the Premier League again.
Neville shouted live on air after Liverpool’s trophy lift: “Look at the energy, the passion, the spirit of Klopp.
“I can’t wait until he leaves!”
Neville has already been credited for an iconic piece of punditry during yesterday’s game.
Chelsea’s mega-rich stars gave up the ghost against Liverpool’s teens in extra time.

And Neville boomed: “It’s been Klopp’s kids against the blue, billion-pound bottlejobs.”
This prompted a response from Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino afterwards.
He said: “I didn’t hear what he said, but if you compare the age of the two groups, I think it is similar.
“I have a good relationship with Gary and I don’t know if that’s how I can take this opinion. But I respect his opinion.
“We made a few changes with [Conor] Gallagher and [Ben] Chilwell in extra time.
“But it is true we didn’t keep the energy of how we finished the second half. I don’t know how you can describe this situation.
“But I feel proud. I feel proud of the players, I think they made a big effort.
“We are a young team and it is nothing to compare with Liverpool just because they finished with also a few young players.
“He knows the dynamics are completely different. I think it’s not fair to talk in this way, if he said that.”
