Lauren Licup (@laurenlicup) filmed herself trying on the frock in a video on TikTok.
“One insecurity of mine that I’ve never tried to work on is my back, especially my back rolls,” she said.
“I avoid wearing anything that’s backless. I just want to work on that. So today we’re going to style my back rolls, I guess,” she added.
She added that she had the “perfect dress” to celebrate her back rolls.
“I thrifted this Free People dress, and I almost didn’t buy it because it was backless. I didn’t let that stop me, though, because this is just too cute of a dress.
She completed the look with knee-high boots, a brown purse, and black sunglasses.
“Cute to me, and I feel really good in it,” she said.
“Now the back, that’s going to take a lot of getting used to. I think the little bow is cute, though.
“I definitely still stand by my point that putting a bow on anything immediately makes it cuter. So that’s helping a little bit.
She said that the point of posting the video to the internet was for “exposure therapy.”
“These are my back rolls, and they’re part of my body, and I love my body. It’s just going to take a little bit of getting used to,” she said.
Body positive fashion fans chimed in on the look with their two cents in the comment section.
“It looks like a butterfly,” one wrote. “I absolutely hate mine, too, but I’ll definitely wear a two-piece bathing suit at the beach. It’s still taking me a while to love it.”
“Ah, a butterfly,” Licup replied. “So sweet, we’re in this together. Love you.”
“Thank you for being so raw with insecurities,” another added. “Helping us all work on ours.”

“Love you, we’re in this together,” Licup wrote back.
“It’s so hard because I think they’re so hot on other people, but for some reason on me it’s gross,” a third commented.
“I honestly never notice it on other people, so it’s definitely annoying how I think people care about my back rolls. So I get you,” Licup replied.
