Saratoga County jury convicts alleged drug dealer

BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- On Monday, a jury convicted Shahid M. Smith, 43, of selling drugs on multiple occasions in Saratoga County. Smith reportedly sold fentanyl three times in Wilton and also sold cocaine and methamphetamine in Wilton and Saratoga Springs.

Smith was one of four individuals arrested during police raids in December 2022. He faces over 30 years in prison for the ten charges. Sentencing is scheduled for April 22.
