‘Oh, my good Lord’ say Lidl shoppers after spotting ‘sweet smelling candles’ – & there’s even a Pain Au Chocolat one
WANT to make your home smell like mouth-watering pastries but can’t be bothered to do all the baking?
Well, it seems like Lidl have come to rescue with just the perfect product to solve the issue, so you don’t have to deal with the mess of preparing croissants or cookies.
That’s right, according to eagle-eyed bargain hunters of the store, the popular discount supermarket has launched new scented candles that will take you straight to a bakery filled with your favourite sweet carbs.
One mum, Kerry, 30, took to TikTok to share the scent-sational find with fellow shoppers and advised others to not sleep on the brand new range.
”For the babes who love sweet smelling candles… Run to Lidl,” she urged in her video.
In her clip, the mum, who had spotted the latest collection in the middle aisle of her store, also shared what goodies you could now get your hands on.
The range, which comes in lovely pastel colours, has a number of fragranced candles, such as their Pain Au Chocolat in a baby pink glass jar.
Meanwhile, their lilac candle is perfect for those who can’t resist a buttery croissant paired with their morning cup of coffee.
Another item the mum had spotted was a scented candle which had the aroma of a Cinnamon Swirl, as well as Croissant Aux Amandes (Almost Croissant).
All of these, she added, were selling for £2.99 – and to make the bargain even better, some even claimed this was a ”dupe” of the post Overose candles, which are going for an eye-watering £46.
”I got the pain au chocolate one and it smells divine,” said Kerry.
”Can’t compare it to the other candles as haven’t smelt them, my other favourite was the cinnamon.
”But for 2.99 can’t complain.”
The 30-year-old went on in the caption: ”A little PSA for all the girlies who love the sweet scents, you need these!”
Needless to say, the fragranced candles have already become a hit on social media, as fellow fans of the retailer raced to comments to share their thougts.
One tagged their pal, saying: ”The cinnamon swirl, I need.”
”Ooooooooh my good Lord,” another chimed in.
”Overose DUPE,” someone else told the mum.
To this, she replied: ”Omg just had to Google it and they look identical!! Even more happy now.”
Planning a trip to Lidl at some point this week? Don’t forget to check out their famous aisles with leopard-print kitchen essentials that even Kat Slater would love.
Some of the items you can now transform your home with include a leopard design kettle for £24.99, a chopping board, a drinks bottle, as well as a set of knives.
