Feds say no indication widespread AT&T outage was a cyber attack

WASHINGTON (CN) - Federal officials haven't seen any evidence a cyber attack was behind widespread cell phone outages Thursday, but are investigating how tens of thousands of people lost connectivity.

Outages affecting AT&T and its Cricket Wireless carrier began early Thursday morning. By 9 a.m. more than 70,000 customers nationwide had lost co
