NW Natural distributing $29 million in credits to Oregon customers
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Northwest Natural is giving customers in Oregon a credit on their bills in February and April to help reduce energy costs. These credits total more than $29 million.
According to the company, on February bills, residential customers received an average credit of $19.27, an estimated 14% decrease on bills during a typical high-use winter month.
Meanwhile, small commercial customers saw an average credit of $92.91 this month.
In April, they say residential customers can expect another credit of about $7.48, while small commercial customers should see an average credit of $37.70. But this is all pending approval by the Oregon Public Utility Commission.
As for Washington customers, credits are included in the monthly billing rate throughout the year.
This is the 21st year NW Natural has credited customers, resulting in a total of $265 million.
