I had three babies as a teen mum… my first at 14 – cruel trolls call me ‘easy’ and say it’s the ‘worst flex ever’
A MUM-OF-FOUR who had her first child at the age of 14 is constantly facing criticism from trolls.
Kayte had her kids at 14, 16, 19 and 23, and gets her fair share of abuse online, from people who think being a teen mum is the “worst flex ever”.
She took to Instagram to share a Reel of “things she’s been told” as a former teen mum.
Kicking off with: “You must have been easy”.
Others have rudely asked if she “knows what causes” pregnancy, while some people insist her family’s a case of “children raising children”.
And there have even been remarks from people urging Kayte to “buy a TV”.
Despite doing her best to ignore the furore around her parenting status, trolls were out in force in the comments section of the Reel.
“Are you seriously proud of having a kid at 14?” one asked.
As another raged: “Can we please stop f**king promoting this please?”
“Did you not learn ur lesson the first time,” a third asked.
“It happens.. but it’s NOT something that should ever be normalised!” someone else insisted.
“Sex at that age does not show maturity, it shows a lack of parental guidance and good role models.
“No matter if it turned out okay for you the majority of those situations do not.”
“This is NOT a good thing, we gotta stop normalising this,” another agreed.
“I’m sorry but 14 and 16?? You probably shouldn’t be proud of that hun…” someone else said.
“Wow. So your contribution to the world is poor life choices,” another sighed.
“Weird thing to flaunt, but ok????”
“No offense but you still look like a child and I’m sorry but if you think it’s okay to be having kids at 14,” someone else commented.
“I just really hope you weren’t groomed into thinking ‘you’re mature for your age’ and you’re just young and delulu.”
As another wrote: “I’m sorry a woman in your life didn’t intervene with the importance of safe sex and making healthy decisions for your body.”
“You sound like you’re bragging,” someone else said.
“Have you never heard of birth control? At 14 there’s no way you were able to take care of a child correctly and you still kept on having them.
“It’s just sad especially the part where you’re on social media now making a video about it and dancing around.”
