North Greenbush Police arrest Pennsylvania woman on forgery charges

NORTH GREENBUSH, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Christy Reiss, of Bristol, Pennsylvania, was arrested following an investigation in the drive-thru of Pioneer Savings Bank on Main Ave. According to the North Greenbush Police Department, Reiss attempted to cash a forged check as another person.

Police say Reiss also had a small amount of crystal methamphetamine. She was taken into custody in the parking lot of Wynantskill Square and charged with the following:

• Criminal possession of a forged instrument in the second degree, felony
• Forgery in the second degree, felony
• Identity theft in the second degree, felony
• Attempted grand larceny in the fourth degree, felony
• Criminal possession of a forged instrument in the fourth degree, felony
• Criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree, misdemeanor
• Criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, misdemeanor

Reiss was arraigned at North Greenbush Town Court. She was released and is due back in court at a later date. Investigations are ongoing.
