Schenectady man pleads guilty to meth charges
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Schenectady man has pled guilty to possessing methamphetamine with an intent to distribute, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office. Ocyris Morgan, 36, of Schenectady, was indicted back in June.
Morgan admitted to intending to sell 21.4 grams of meth which was seized from his home by police on June 1, 2023. He also confessed to selling 93 grams of meth and 50 grams of crack cocaine to several people across multiple interactions, receiving $10,130 in sales.
Morgan additionally admitted to owning a firearm and a bulletproof vest. His sentencing will be held at a later date and time. He faces five to 40 years in prison, a fine of up to $5 million and a term of supervised release of 4 years and up to life.
