ITB Berlin: Strike impact information for Deutsche Bahn, Berliner S-Bahn, and Lufthansa ground personnel starting from Thursday

0

A strike by the train drivers’ union GDL from Thursday would restrict transport to the Berlin Exhibition Grounds for ITB Berlin. This concerns travel with Deutsche Bahn and Berlin’s light rail network (S-Bahn). The metro system (U-Bahn), trams and bus routes will not be affected. Private rail networks including ODEG will run according to schedule. The Travel service section on ITB Berlin’s website has regular updates on alternative transport options.

Due to a strike announced by the Ver.di union involving Lufthansa‘s ground staff, which will take place from Thursday, 7 March, starting at 4:00 am, until Saturday, 9 March 2024, at 7:10 am, disruptions in air traffic may occur. This could potentially affect travel plans. The organizers of ITB Berlin recommend staying informed about the latest updates.
