I look like I’m summoning aliens but my under-$10 method is the simplest, cheapest, most effective way to grow your hair
A BEAUTY lover has revealed her simple and budget-friendly method to grow her hair without breaking the bank.
She admitted in a video that she looked like she was summoning an alien while boasting about a $10 Target buy, but it was worth it.
Ashley Paige (@ashleypaige) shares tips to look your best with and without makeup.
She ditched the cosmetics and opted for a more natural look in an Instagram Reel.
She applied a green face mask before doing the tutorial and then shared her cheap method to protect your hair and help it grow.
“It is my sole mission to tell everyone in this world that this is how you’re going to fix your hair health in two hours,” she said.
The first thing she suggested was to pick out a scalp oil, and she used her fingers to rub it in and coat her head.
“If you want your hair to grow, I really recommend a rosemary oil,” she added.
Ashley then took water in a spray bottle and added a little bit of water to her hair “but not too much.”
“You don’t wanna get them too wet. Just a little bit porous,” she said.
Next, she took her “favorite hair mask,” the California Naturals Hair Masque, $9.99 from Target, and coated her ends in the product.
“If you’re choosing to sleep in this, you’re going to want to do a braid, but if you’re going to go about your day, I just like to do a bun,” she said.
“This is the point where we’re going to look like we’re summoning aliens,” she said before she covered her head in saran wrap.
Lastly, Ashley took a warm towel from the dryer and wrapped her head in it.
Method Instructions
- Cover the scalp in a hair oil
- Add a little bit of water
- Coat ends in a hair mask
- Wrap it in a braid or bun
- Cover it in saran wrap
- Wrap in a warm hair towel
- Leave on before two to three hours before washing out
“Again, we’re trapping that heat and making this so effective. And then I just sit at home like this for three or four hours before washing it all out in the shower,” she explained.
She called it the “simplest, cheapest, yet most effective thing” she’s ever tried for her hair health.
Viewers showed how much they appreciated her advice in the comments.
“Yes!!! Currently doing this now thanks to you,” one commented.
“Been doing this since I found your page. My hair has never been this healthy,” another wrote.
“I’ve been doing this since I watched your video back in November and it has completely changed my hair. Can confirm!!” a TikTok user added.
