Freiburg Must Be – West Ham Out On Loan Star Tells Hammers’ Opponents What To Do

West Ham United out on loan star Thilo Kehrer has issued advice to the Hammers’ Europa League opponents SC Freiburg about how to handle his parent club.

The Hammers are in the round of 16 of the Europa League and they are set to square off against Freiburg, who they previously played in the group stage.

West Ham came out victorious against Freiburg in both meetings in the group stage.

Kehrer, who featured in both games against the German outfit early in the season, has now told Freiburg what they need to do to turn the tables on West Ham.

The Hammers loaned-out star pointed out that West Ham have a physically strong defensive line-up and suggested that the German outfit should be more penetrative than they were in their last two meetings against David Moyes’ side, as well as being physically dominant.

When asked about what Freiburg must do to defeat West Ham, Kehrer told German magazine Sport Bild: “Freiburg must be physically dominant.

“They need more penetration against the physically strong defence than in the games during the first half of the season.”

West Ham will travel to the Europa Park Stadion on Thursday to take on Freiburg in the first leg of the tie and will welcome them to the London Stadium on 14th March for the reverse leg.
