Albany Firebirds hosting tryouts

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Time to lace up the cleats again. Do you have what it takes to join the Albany Firebirds?

The team will host tryouts on Saturday, March 23, at Afrim's Sports Park. The tryout will be held from 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m., with check-ins starting at 5 a.m. Interested participants can pre-register for $80 online, and it will cost $100 the day of.

Those who register by March 16 will receive an exclusive shirt. Afrim's Sports Park is at 969 Watervliet Shaker Road, 12205.

The Firebirds return to Albany on Saturday, April 27 at 7 p.m. against the Orlando Predators. 2024 marks 25 years since the Firebirds played the Predators in ArenaBowl XIII.
