Fact Check: Unraveling Truth Behind Viral Cushionless Seats On Indigo Flight

Fact Check: People choose flights for comfort, good hospitality and for time savings. The dispute arises when they don’t get the expected services. Flight incidents are always attendance gathering and immediately go viral on the internet like wildfire. In a similar vein, a weird image has gone viral on all social media platforms, leaving netizens puzzled and giving them a reason to laugh out loud. In the viral image, which was taken on an IndiGo flight from Bengaluru to Bhopal, two seats can be seen with missing cushions. The passenger who captured the picture shared it on X (formerly Twitter). The one-of-a-kind post with interesting caught the attention of the netizens and went viral.

Fact Check

Responding to the post, Indigo explained that the seats were not like the way it was shown in the image and the missing seat cushions were part of the standard cleaning procedure. Before ethe departure of the flight, the cleaning staff remove the seat cushions for cleaning purposes, a practice IndiGo described as routine during transit whenever necessary.

The airline clarified that the cabin crew had informed the passengers, including Shah, about the temporary absence of the cushions on the seats.
“Ma’am, thank you for speaking with us. The seat cushions were replaced before the flight for cleaning purposes. Our cabin crew promptly informed the customers who were allotted these seats. This is a standard practice for cleaning during transit as and when required. We are committed to providing the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene to our customers,” they wrote.

However , the post has gone viral garnering 970k views and many reactions. Well, this is not the first time, that the pictures or videos of cushion less seats on IndiGo flights have gone viral on the internet.
