Jennifer Lopez Received Some Major Support From a Former Co-Star & We’re Living for This Friendship
Just this past month, Jennifer Lopez has released a series of new projects. In addition to her new album which was a long time coming, Lopez also debuted a new movie, titled This Is Me… Now, and her new documentary, titled The Greatest Love Story Never Told. And while Lopez has received support from her fans, the wave of new projects has also brought up some hate too.
Luckily, however, Lopez’s former Hustlers co-star Keke Palmer is speaking out in support of the “Let’s Get Loud” singer. “I love J. Lo,” she told People. “I always loved her growing up, and then we became really cool on Hustlers.”
Palmer, who guest starred in Lopez’s movie as one of the members of the Zodiac Love Council, added that Lopez has also championed her throughout her career. “[Lopez is] actually a personal person in my life that has always encouraged me and really always given me an opportunity to shine,” Palmer continued.
Speaking about her guest cameo, Palmer said she a “appreciative” of the opportunity which allowed her to “do some fun improv.”
Alongside Palmer in the Zodiac Council were Neil DeGrasse Tyson, Jane Fonda, Trevor Noah, Post Malone, Sofía Vergara, Kim Petras, Jenifer Lewis, Jay Shetty and Sadhguru.
“[I] was glad that people enjoyed it,” Palmer said, adding that she didn’t get to meet her scene partners in person. “That part stunk.”
“Jane Fonda is probably the person that I really wanted to meet the most,” Palmer admitted. “There was a few people that I was like, ‘Dang, I wish I could have met them’ — Neil DeGrasse Tyson and stuff like that — but it was amazing.”
Overall, it seems like Lopez has a major cheerleader in Palmer. “She really has [done it all] and I’m really proud of her for her career,” Palmer said. We’re living for this friendship!
