I went thrifting in Palm Beach and got a $50 designer clutch – its true value is thousands more, that’s not all I got
A STYLE enthusiast with a keen eye for a bargain has left people stunned after revealing the designer items she found at a thrift store.
Among her purchases from World Thift in Palm Beach was a clutch bag from a French luxury fashion brand worth thousands of dollars.
Meredith Blackmon Realtor (@meredithsellsraleigh) has over 18,000 followers on TikTok, where she shares shopping hauls.
She looked in good spirits as she began to lift each item out of a carrier bag to reveal her latest finds.
“Let’s do a thrifting haul, we just got back from Dixie Highway in West Palm Beach,” she said.
“First things first, we got this Hermes clutch.
“It’s so cute, I am so excited.
“This was the first thing that I found and I am so obsessed.”
She paid just $50 for the Hermes clutch, despite an almost identical version having been sold for $5,000 at Christie’s auction.
Meredith didn’t reveal if her brown crocodile clutch was sold with its dustbag.
However, she revealed it wasn’t the only steal she found from the luxury brand while thrifting.
“We got this Hermes scarf, it can either go on a bag or I guess you can wear it,” she said.
“As a scarf, it’s kind of small so I think it’s more for a bag, but so cute.”
The fashionista then held up a Valentino crossbody purse before trying on a “soft” fur stole from Flemington Furs in New Jersey.
She gushed about being excited to wear the stylish item made from animal hair when it gets cold.
Next, she held up a leather belt which cost just $4, and a shirt-style dress from Theory.
“It’s kind of long, I’ll probably have to get it hemmed but also so cute, maybe with a belt for work,” she said.
Meredith also bought several gold photo frames for 99 cents each.
She confessed to being unsure about the last item in the haul, which was a large orange tote that her mom spotted during their shopping spree.
“I don’t know how I feel about it,” she said.
“It’s kind of cute. It’s made out of like towel material and has a gold chain on it. Super fun.”
Almost 18,000 people liked the haul and many took to the comment section eager to visit the store where she went shopping.
“I could never hit the jackpot like this!!! Such good finds!!!” one person wrote.
“Fabulous finds – the fur with the initial inside, the clutch!” another said.
“Definitely just added this to my Palm Beach itinerary,” a third chimed in.
“The fur stole was amazing on you… great color against your skin… love the first clutch, what a find!!!” a fourth commented.
“There is no way that is genuine Hermes. I have been to that World Thift and they know how to price things,” another quipped.
