‘The Pit Stop’ for ‘Drag Race 16’ episode 10: Trixie and Angeria Paris VanMichaels recap ‘Werq the World’
Each week on “The Pit Stop,” Trixie Mattel recaps the latest episode of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” season 16 alongside a guest host. Following Friday’s tenth episode, season 14 finalist Angeria Paris VanMichaels stopped by to share her thoughts on “Werq the World,” a tour she’s participated in herself. In their recap of the episode, Angeria backed Dawn and Morphine Love Dion up for being “so irritated” that they don’t have a challenge win to their name yet, but she was not forgiving of Nymphia Wind‘s ongoing reputation for feigning insecurity during challenge prep because it’s happened too many times. On her own chances competing in this challenge, Angeria said that she would have handled the “funk” aspect really well and she’s capable of singing and dancing. She also spoke very highly of her experience on the “Werq the World” tour that the song “Power” will be featured on.
When it came to the topic of Plane Jane‘s Immunity Potion and her contemplation of using it on herself or anyone else, Angeria’s perspective was that she could never use it on anyone she saw as competition, but she wouldn’t let it go to waste either. In the challenge, she thought Sapphira Cristál and Morphine turned it out, but Nymphia was giving “fish out of water” until she served “everything” on the runway. That being said, Angeria would have loved to see Nymphia do a color other than yellow and with a different fruit for this color-specific category. By the end, Angeria considered the lip sync between Sapphira and Morphine one of “the best lip syncs of the season” and the right queen earned the win.
