Major London road closed after ‘police incident’

A main thoroughfare in London was closed due to a police incident this morning, with photos from the scene showing it cordoned off.

An incident took place near Lewisham Town Hall, on the A205 South Circular (the Catford Gyratory) at the junction for the A21.

The A21 Rushey Green in Catford, Lewisham, is currently closed in both directions, with traffic on roads nearby also moving slowly and buses diverted.

Police have been contacted for further information.
