Begorrah! A lovely St. Patrick's Day in Portland metro
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — We're rolling in the sunshine this weekend! Our current stretch of 70-degree daytime highs continues through early next week.
Saturday afternoon we hit 76 for our high -- just four degrees from tying the record for warmest March 16. That was back in 1947 when we reached 80.
St. Patrick's Day looks gorgeous as well with blue skies and low 70s expected around the Portland metro area. Sunday could mark the second warmest St. Patrick's Day on record in Portland.
And while our normal high for this time of year here in Portland is 57-degrees, we could be breaking a daytime high record come Monday. The forecast is calling for a high of 75. The daytime high record for March 18 is set at 71, set back in 1988.
The chance of rain isn't expected to return to our region until Wednesday.
But for now enjoy the warm and dry conditions around our region.
