Pittsfield Police joins Highway 20 enforcement project

PITTSFIELD, Mass. (NEWS10) -- The Pittsfield Police Department is joining law enforcement agencies across the country for the Highway 20 Speed Enforcement Project. U.S. Route 20 spans approximately 3,300 miles from Oregon to Massachusetts.

Part of the highway runs through Pittsfield via West Housatonic Street and South Street. Police across 12 states will run patrols on March 20 to promote traffic safety and reduce crashes. Pittsfield Police will have additional patrols conducting speed enforcement.
