TikTokers Zach and Desirae Barr (@takinglifebythebarrs) said living smaller doesn’t have to mean you live in chaos.
While you can add shelves and baskets, their trick to making the most of their space is verticle storage.
They added three baskets to their walls.
They adhered three 12-inch pieces of wood and installed hooks so the baskets could hang from them.
When they are moving their tiny home, they can take the baskets off the walls so nothing falls out.
As shown in their TikTok video, Zach and Desirae use the baskets for their fresh produce, but you don’t have to do that.
The couple said they can also be used for kitchen spices, board games, or children’s books.
The couple said they purchased the wire baskets from Target about a year ago.
They didn’t share a link, but Target is selling similar wire baskets for $30.
There are two more options, though wood-handle milk crates from Target are a little smaller.
One sells for $25, and the other costs $15.
Commenters loved the idea.
One person offered a different suggestion, saying the baskets could be used for personal items, too.
“These will be fabulous for shoes beside our front door.. they end up all over the floor in our RV,” the responder said.
“I’m so annoyed that my RV has basically zero empty wall space. I hate it so much bc this is so cute,” a second wrote.
“I wish I had the wall space to do that. Our 24-foot Winnie doesn’t have the room, but what a great idea,” a third posted.
“I appreciate the commitment to showing us options,” a fourth added.
“Love this idea. I was thinking about a folding desk also. Fold down on drive days,” a fifth added.

It costs about $67,000 for a tiny home on average, which is 87% cheaper than a traditional home.
