UNICEF: over 13,000 children have been killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza

The United Nations Children’s Fund recently announced that amidst the ongoing war in Gaza, more than 13,000 children have been killed as a result of Israeli attacks on Gaza.

The agency stated on Sunday that many children suffer from severe malnutrition and lack “even the energy to cry.”

Additionally, the UN Children’s Fund stated that thousands more have been injured or are unaccounted for.

Catherine Russell, the executive director of UNICEF, said on Sunday, “We almost haven’t seen such a level of death among children in any other conflict in the world.”

The United Nations Children’s Fund has stated that such a high level of child mortality has never existed in any other war in the world.

The ongoing conflict in Gaza has led to a dire humanitarian crisis, with over 13,000 children killed and many more suffering from severe malnutrition and injuries.
