Shelter in place lifted in Southeast Portland after disturbance

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A shelter-in-place order was in place for residents near a disturbance with a weapon near Southeast Division Street and 92nd Avenue.

Authorities said a person they were trying to take into custody near the 9200th block of SE Division Street wasn't cooperating, but the person was eventually taken into custody. No injuries were reported.

“This appears to be a disturbance between people known to each other. There was an incident last night, too,” officials said.

Police confirmed that a nearby school was on lockdown, but did not specify which.
