HVCC hosting 35th Capital Region Flower and Garden Expo
TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Capital Region Flower and Garden Expo returns for its 35th year this weekend at Hudson Valley Community College. The event is set for March 22 through March 24.
The annual expo showcases a vast array of floral exhibits, garden displays and educational landscape demonstrations. The event will feature a marketplace where attendees can peruse gardening goods like houseplants, bulbs, seeds and branches, as well as crafts such as pottery, jewelry and art.
The expo will also offer a wide variety of concession vendors and free tastings from over 17 New York wineries and distilleries. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
"The Capital Region Flower and Garden Expo is a must for backyard gardeners seeking inspiration or for anyone looking for a bright, colorful, uplifting event in March," says event manager Pennie Gonzalez. "This event has grown tremendously in the last few years. Simply put, we have more houseplants and garden centers, more hands-on educational exhibits, more food trucks and food offerings, and an expanded indoor farmers’ market."
The expo will be held at HVCC's McDonough Sports Complex, located at 80 Vandenburgh Avenue. You can buy Capital Region Flower and Garden Expo tickets online through the event's website or at the door on the days of the event. The college is providing free parking for the expo.
