Brooklyn man arrested in death of child, 3: NYPD
EAST FLATBUSH, Brooklyn (PIX11) — A Brooklyn man was arrested and charged in connection with the death of a 3-year-old boy found in an East Flatbush apartment Sunday night, according to the NYPD.
Kevin James, 29, faces murder and assault charges related to the boy's death, according to police. Sources told PIX11 News James is the stepson of the man who was asked to babysit the boy.
The relationship between the babysitter and the mother remained unclear on Tuesday. Police listed James' address as the same location where the toddler was found.
The child was found inside a bathtub in the New York Avenue apartment around 9:45 p.m. Sunday with trauma to his head and neck, according to law enforcement sources.
