Boy, 16, charged with attempted murder of cop after ‘driving a car at officer’
A TEENAGER has been charged with the attempted murder of a police officer after allegedly driving a car at them.
The alleged murder bid is said to have happened in the early hours of Sunday, March 10 on Inverness’ High Street.
The officer – who was carrying out a foot patrol of the area – wasn’t injured after the alleged incident.
Police Scotland has now confirmed a 16-year-old male youth has been arrested and charged in connection with attempted murder.
A spokesperson added: “The youth will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with the incident.”
