Yard waste pickup in Clifton Park begins on April 1
CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Twin Bridges will begin offering a curbside yard waste pick-up service for Clifton Park residents beginning on April 1. The service will be available through the end of November.
“The Town has offered this valuable service to Clifton Park residents for many years, said Town Supervisor Phil Barrett. This year the Town is partnering with Twin Bridges Waste and Recycling to ensure yard waste is removed, processed, and recycled timely and professionally”.
Yard waste, including leaves, grass clippings, tree and shrub trimmings, and other brush must be in brown paper yard waste bags. Small, bundled brush less than four feet long and three feet in diameter will be collected but must be tied.
Yard waste will not be collected from garbage cans. Items not collected include animal waste, garden debris, tree or shrub roots of any type, tree stumps or logs, household garbage, pressure treated wood, railroad ties, building debris, plastic, metal, or other foreign materials.
Twin Bridges says bags must be visible on the curb and should not be covered. Residents should have yard waste ready for pickup by Sunday evening. Clifton Park residents can also bring yard waste to the Town Transfer Station. An ID will be required.
