Wait, we weren’t already pooling insurance purchases in the state? | READER COMMENTARY

Dr. Dan Morhaim’s excellent op-ed regarding pooling the purchase of Maryland’s Health Insurance into one “Group Buy” for all Maryland government and education agencies really surprised me (“Pooling health insurance could save Maryland millions,” March 15). Surprised because, you mean they haven’t been doing this already? It’s 2024 and this is a “new idea”? It raises the question of what other taxpayer dollars are being left on the table.
