In her video, Kristen (@southernescape) demonstrated how she saved a pair of jeans and her car mat using the same Walmart buy.

The TikToker revealed that her go-to product is the $15 Murphy Oil Soap Wood Cleaner.

She explained that she used the furniture polish to tackle a stain on her husband’s jeans.

Kristen informed her followers that the product is “great for spot treatment.”

She dabbed a capful of the wood cleaner on the oil stain before adding them to her washer.

After removing the jeans from her machine, she pointed out that the oil was “gone effortlessly.”

Next, Kristen tackled the “gunk” that gathered in the grooves of her car mat.

She explained that she used to add dish soap to the rubber mat and scrub it.

However, with the wood soap, all she had to do was spray the surface and wait several seconds.

Kristen pointed out “all the gunk rising up” on the mat before spraying it down with her garden hose.

She added that “zero effort went into getting this mat clean.”

Finally, Kristen used the wood soap to clean the stains from her shaggy carpet.

She explained that the cream-colored rug has had a “greenish black stain for a while.”

After spraying the damaged area with the wood soap, Kristen “shampooed it right up” with her carpet cleaning device.

She showed her followers the newly-cleaned area with no trace of a stain.

Tip to remove yellow sweat stains

Yellow armpit stains affects everyone, whether people care to admit to it or not. But there is help at hand. To remove yellow stains from your clothing, experts recommend the following methods:

  • Baking soda paste: The pros at The Laundry Cafe recommend mixing one tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide with one tablespoon of salt, and ½ cup of baking soda. Apply directly to the stain with a toothbrush, rub, and let the mixture sit for at least an hour, then wash as normal.
  • Oxygen bleach: This method is just as useful for removing yellow stains. Mix one part of oxygen-based bleach with one part of ammonia in a non-metal bowl. Wear gloves during this application. Rub into the fabric with a toothbrush and allow the solution to sit for at least ten minutes before laundering as normal.
  • Stain remover or detergent: Stains on collars can be stubborn to remove as armpit stains. So pretreat the area using a solvent-based stain-removing agent or detergent. Work the product into the collar with a toothbrush and allow it to sit for at least ten minutes before washing.

Kristen told her viewers that she was “so impressed” with the budget buy.

Her followers shared their thoughts on the hack in the comments section.

“I bought some yesterday thanks to you,” wrote one impressed viewer.

“I used this on some oil stains that were on my son’s shirt. Came right out. Thank you for sharing!!!!” said another TikTok user.

“I use this to clean my car, wood floors, and my leather sofa!” commented a third person.
