Hillsboro driver injured after crashing into tree: officials

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A driver crashing into a tree in Hillsboro prompted response emergency crews early Saturday morning.
At 1:30 a.m., firefighters with Hillsboro Fire & Rescue responded to the single vehicle crash near Northeast Cornell Road and Northeast Walbridge Street, authorities say.
One person was extricated from the car and taken to a nearby hospital, officials say.
Northwest Cornell Road eastbound lanes were closed for several hours while officials investigated the scene.
No other information, including the identity of the driver or the cause of the crash, has been released at this time.
