Teen fight at Vancouver Mall food court involves parents, gun: police

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Vancouver Police are investigating after a fight between teens led to an incident at gunpoint between two parents Friday evening.

Just before 8 p.m., police responded to the Vancouver Mall on a report that several teens got into a fight in the food court. When one of the parents intervened, another parent pulled out and pointed a gun at them, authorities say.

The parent with the gun then left the food court with his kids, although police say they found reason to believe he was still inside the mall, possibly in the bowling alley.

Officers set up a perimeter in the area and contacted mall security, who reported the suspect had left the mall before police arrived, officials say.

There were no injuries reported.

The investigation is ongoing and no other information is available at this time.
