The Bengaluru Rural seat is poised for a unique contest between two candidates sharing the same name, Dr. CN Manjunath. One of them, a renowned cardiologist, successfully developed the Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences & Research into one of Asia's largest heart hospitals. He is contesting as a BJP candidate against DK Suresh, the sole Congress winner in Karnataka's 2019 LS polls.
