Luke Littler breaks agreement to troll bitter rival after stunning Premier League darts victory over Luke Humphries

LUKE LITTLER opted against mocking rival Ricardo Pietreczko following his Premier League win over Luke Humphries.

The teenage sensation, 17, clinched a thrilling 6-5 quarter-final victory over the world champion in Belfast on Thursday night.

This week, YouTuber JaackMaate urged him to pull out a finger wagging celebration if he was to win in Northern Ireland.

This was in reference to a spat Littler had with German Pietreczko, 29, earlier this month.

Pietreczko squared up to the Brit during Littler‘s 7-3 Belgian Darts Open victory.

He also wagged his finger at the PDC World Darts Championship finalist in an astonishing exchange.

Following JaackMaate’s suggestion, Littler accepted the challenge and shook hands with the podcast host.

But he did not end up pulling out the celebration after his win over Humphries.

Instead, Littler passionately roared at the crowd and jumped around excitedly as he ended Humphries‘ hopes of a record fourth successive nightly win in the Premier League.

He then embraced his opponent after another epic battle.

Humphries had won the previous three nights in Brighton, Nottingham and Dublin.

Yet Littler had other ideas in Belfast and when he sunk double 10 for a 68 checkout, he punched the air in delight.

It was an entertaining, high-quality contest with high-scoring Littler throwing seven 180s across the 11 legs.

It means the record of three Premier League wins in a row will remain shared by Michael van Gerwen (twice), Michael Smith and Humphries.

After the match, Littler said: “The highlight of the Premier League has been winning almost every opening game.

“I’ve only lost the first round twice which is really good.

“I lost the final to Van Gerwen in Berlin. I know there’s so many weeks to go and I don’t need to put pressure on myself because I know there’s a lot of darts to be played.”
