Burglars make off with ATM overnight at business on Near North Side

A witness told police two burglars smashed a glass door and removed an ATM machine before placing it in a van overnight at a business on the Near North Side.

Shortly before 2:40 a.m., two burglars smashed a glass door at a business in the 1500 block of West Division Street and removed an ATM machine. The burglars carried the ATM to a white van and fled the scene, police said.

No one was in custody and detectives were investigating.
