Baltimore man found dead in Annapolis woods is likely victim of homicide, city police say

The body of a Baltimore man was found in Annapolis Thursday morning, according to city police, whosay his death will be ruled a homicide.

According to a news release, officers were dispatched to a wooded area in the 900 block of Spa Road for an unresponsive subject. There, they found the body, which was later identified as David Winchester, 47.

Police believe Winchester was abducted Thursday “by unknown suspects” in Baltimore before ending up in Annapolis.

Winchester’s body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for a homicide. Police in their news release did not confirm Winchester’s death was caused by homicide, but rather said “through their investigations and evidence recovered, believe” it will be ruled so.

A department spokesperson was not available for comment.
