QUEENSBURY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Johnstown woman was arrested after allegedly assaulting and menacing a victim, then fleeing police and crashing after a brief pursuit. Leslie Stone, 35, faces several charges.

On Thursday, March 14, Warren County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a home in Briwood Circle in Queensbury for reports of a domestic dispute. Deputies say an investigation found that Stone assaulted a victim and later menaced them with a knife before leaving.

Ston was found a short time later, but law enforcement says she fled upon their arrival. This led to a brief chase that ended once Stone left Warren County and entered Saratoga County in Corinth.

Minutes later, 911 dispatchers received reports of a car crash on County Route 10. Police found Stone was involved in the crash near the intersection of West Mountian Road.

Deputies say Stone suffered injuries to her head and neck. She was hospitalized and released on March 22. Upon her release, Stone was arrested.

Charges:

  • First-degree criminal contempt
  • Third-degree criminal possession of a weapon
  • Aggravated family offense
  • Criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation
  • Second-degree menacing
  • Resisting arrest

Stone was arraigned at Warren County CAP Court. She is held at the Warren County Correctional Facility for lack of $2,500 bail or $5,000 insurance bond.
