Setting initial timing on MSD Mag 44
I always just wing it when I do the first startup on a new engine (setting up mag for the first time).
I was told that there is a tool that you slip over the rotor with a socket style hole in it that you use an inch pound wench on and set it to something like 22 inch pounds (or something like that). Where do I find this tool?
There has to be something out there, you never see the pros adjusting the mag on a fresh rebuild. They might check the timing but very seldom adjust the mag....
