Police investigating shooting in Poughkeepsie
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The City of Poughkeepsie Police Department announced they are investigating a shooting that occurred on March 30. The incident took place near the 400 block of Main Street.
On Saturday at 4:23 a.m., police responded to the area following reports of shots being fired. Upon arrival, officers located a 34-year-old man who had sustained a life-threatening gun shot wound.
The victim was tended to by emergency medical personnel before being transported to a nearby hospital. Detectives and crime scene technicians remained on the scene for a time to process evidence.
