Suspect arrested in connection with shooting of 5-year-old girl in Crowley

CROWLEY, La. (KLFY) -- Crowley Police have arrested a man in connection with the shooting of a 5-year-old girl on March 7, authorities said.
Linzy Thomas, 19, of Crowley, is charged with four counts of attempted second degree murder, aggravated property damage and weapons charges, according to the Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office.
Crowley Police said two men began shooting at another man in the 500 block of West Andrus March 7, in an area with a large number of people outside their homes, many of them children. A 5-year-old girl was struck while being walked from her bus stop to her residence by her father, authorities said.
The girl was treated at a local hospital and released.
Bond details were not released.
