On Tuesday, UltraTech Cement Limited, a part of the Aditya Birla Group, announced the commissioning of two new greenfield capacities in Chhattisgarh and Tamil Nadu, adding 5.4 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) to its total cement capacity, which now stands at 151.6 mtpa. The company highlighted that this capacity exceeds that of the United States by over 150% and 80% of Europe's capacity.
