16-year-old charged with stabbing teenager in Tonawanda

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- A 17-year-old was hospitalized Sunday after he was allegedly stabbed by a 16-year-old on William Street in Tonawanda, City of Tonawanda police announced.

Police said the alleged stabbing occurred during a verbal argument between the two juveniles. The 17-year-old male sustained injuries to his chest and left arm.

The victim was released from the hospital after being treated for his injuries.

The 16-year-old male was charged with first-degree assault and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree.
