Pittsfield Police seek to identify armed robbery suspect

PITTSFIELD, Mass. (NEWS10) -- The Pittsfield Police Department announced they are seeking the public's help in identifying the suspect of an armed robbery. The incident occurred on West Housatonic Street on March 30.

Police say on March 30 around 7 p.m., a man walked into the Lipton Mart gas station located at 320 West Housatonic Street, allegedly brandishing a handgun. The man reportedly left the business with an undisclosed amount of cash as well as a few other items.

The suspect is believed to have come from the Barker Road area and reportedly left the gas station heading north on Britton Street toward the nearby train tracks. The person is described as a white man between 5'8" and 5'10".

He was last seen wearing black sneakers, gray ripped jeans, a blue "Patriots" short sleeve sweatshirt over a red long-sleeve sweatshirt, with white paint stains on both sleeves. He was also wearing red gloves, a white face mask, a gray hat, dark sunglasses, and was possibly wearing a fake prosthetic nose.
