Elizabeth Hurley Pumps Up Height in Metallic Platform Dolce & Gabbana Shoes in New York City

Elizabeth Hurley turned on the glam in New York City for a walk through Midtown on Tuesday. The star added a few inches to her height wearing a pair of Dolce & Gabbana platform sandals featuring an open toe.

Hurley is no stranger to platform heels. She was wearing another pair of platform heels, in black, earlier in the day as she made her way through the city.

Hurley is in town with her son Damian Hurley.

The heel is Dolce & Gabbana’s metallic mirror ankle-strap platform sandal. The open-toe footwear has a stiletto heel that measures 4.25 inches and sports a logo on the back. The shoe is made of leather.

The platform is distinctive, with a stacked design. Saks Fifth Avenue is still the style for $1,345.

Metallic Footwear is Trending

Chrome and other metallic footwear has been trending and in 2023 was one of the dominant trends. Other brands like Jimmy Choo and Aquazzura are all offering platform open-toe footwear currently.

Alternatively, some labels have been selling metallic pointy toe pumps including companies like Valentino Garravini as well as Jimmy Choo. Jean Paul Gaultier, Tory Burch and Dior are all companies that have gotten in on the trend with celebrities as diverse as Taylor Swift, Heidi Klum and Jennifer Hudson wearing them. Beyonce notably incorporated the style into her “Renaissance” tour.

Elizabeth Hurley’s shoe style

Hurley has a preference for high heels. She’s often spotted in pointed toe stilettos from brands like Manolo Blahnik. She also has worn open toe platform stilettos before like in October 2022, when she attended a luncheon for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
