I work in Primark’s beauty section – the £2 product that revolutionises lashes & the shower gel set to become iconic
IT’S one of the most popular sections in Primark.
And one woman who works in the beauty department in the high-street store in Lincoln has shared some of her must-buy items, including a £2 product that will help revolutionise your lashes.
She took to TikTok to share a slideshow of pictures of the products she recommends, kicking off with an illuminated mirror which surprised her with “how bright it was”.
A £18 waver – currently reduced to just £7 – is one of her most loved hair tools, while she insisted she’ll “forever hype up” the Prep + perfect finishing spray and loose baking powder, adding “chef’s kiss!”
She “love love loves” the £6 Flawless Glow foundation, which gives “such good coverage”, while the Sky High mascara dupe is also a must-have.
And there’s a bag of 15 mascara wands that she will “forever recommend”, as they “work wonders” for the “lash gals”.
She went on to rave about the high pigment blusher she loves in the shade Posy, as well as £1 bronzers and a new eyeshadow palette that’s “pure stun”.
Primark's history
PRIMARK first opened in 1969 as Pennies in Dublin, hoping to provide affordable fashion in Ireland.
A Primark store officially opened as Primark in 1974 in Derby.
The retailer now has 193 stores across the UK and 441 stores worldwide with a goal of running 530 stores by the end of 2026.
There’s a massive bag of blender sponges for just £4.50, a £5 box of individual lashes that “last so long”, and a make-up brush cleaning bowl that makes the process so much easier.
A cleansing milk with rose water and vitamin E is a sell-out, and it’s not hard to see why, as the woman went on to recommend the SPF 30 moisturising serum drops and the anti-chafe body balm that’s perfect if you suffer from chub rub.
A strawberry loofah and duck-shaped scalp massager are among the shower items she raves about, while the whipped shower foams “smell incredible” and are “just so b**ody fun”.
There’s also body butters for £4.50 each and reusable cleaning pads that are a “10/10”.
Foot masks are available to keep your trotters soft and smooth, while a soft heatless curler set is on sale for £3 and is super comfy to sleep in.
She concluded her list of recommendations with Primark’s bow headbands, as she said she “will always hype up Primark’s headbands”.
“Beauty recommendations from someone who works in Primark,” she captioned the TikTok video.
“The Sky High dupe is better than the actual thing,” one commented on the video.
“The wand on the real is too floppy and bendy so makes it really hard to apply.”
“I’ve got the sky high doop it’s just as good as the sky high mascara,” another added.
“Love the make-up head band wearing mine now,” a third raved.
“Works and does the same as any but so soft and comfy!”
“Saving this for my next Primark trip,” someone else said.
