A SKINCARE pro has shared the secret behind her youthful looks.

She’s 47 and got rid of her jowls without resorting to surgery or fillers.

She resolved signs of sagging by her tightening routine and it made a huge difference.

But you must trust the process and stick to it to see results.

It won’t happen overnight, said Shelley (@GlowUpwithShelley) in her post.

Her YouTube channel is dedicated to “transformative skincare.”

Shelley was not immune to signs of aging, but she has found a way of addressing some of them.

“I had jowls,” she admitted. “I got rid of them, you can too.”

SIGNS OF AGING

She said skin starts to sag when women hit their forties because of five reasons.

  1. You start to lose fat in your face.
  2. Your skin gets looser.
  3. As you hit the menopause, bone density is affected.
  4. Sun damage.
  5. Smoking.

The key to her anti-aging tips was consistency.

“If you keep using this routine for years, your skin will just get better and better,” she said.

“It may take longer than 6-8 months. A couple of these cost virtually nothing, so this routine will not break your bank,” she added.

She distilled her age-busting tips into four key stages.

STAGE 1:

Collagen therapy: microneedling helps firm up the skin and tighten jowls.

Use once every four weeks.

STAGE 2:

Facial massage: use every single night, along the jowl area and the rest of the face.

It will tighten and tone that area and relieve tension in the face.

This is one exercise Shelley said she would never skip.

Anti-aging tips

  • Keep your skin hydrated internally by drinking water and externally with moisturizer.
  • Always use sunscreen, even if you’re not in direct sunlight.
  • Use Vitamin C to brighten the skin and don’t forget to apply to your neck.

STAGE 3:

Facial yoga was a must and she recommended three to try.

Perhaps do these in private, they can look odd. But do them every day.

  • The O face routine: purse your lips, then stretch into a smile. Go back and forth for a minute.
  • Tongue stretch: push your tongue up into the roof of your mouth, and hold for 30 seconds.
  • Jutting out: push your lower jaw forward, so it is jutting out and hold for 30 seconds.

STAGE 4:

These included glycolic acid and chemical peels, both of which increased cellular turnover.
