VSP: VT man threatened victim with deadly weapon

POWNAL, Vt. (NEWS10) -- A Pownal, Vermont man was arrested on Tuesday and is accused of threatening someone with a deadly weapon, making them fear of serious bodily injury or death. Vermont State Police say Matthew Wright, 34, was arrested after a month-long investigation into the incident.

On March 2, Vermont State Police were called to VT Route 346 in Pownal for a domestic disturbance report. After an investigation, police say Wright was found to threaten a victim with a deadly weapon, putting them in fear of imminent bodily injury or death.

Wright was arrested and charged with first-degree aggravated domestic assault. He was processed at the Shaftsbury Barracks and was given conditions of release. He was held without bail and was taken to be held at the Marble Valley Correctional Facility.
