Don’t worry if you have an ugly lawn – my ‘miracle product’ offers a reset by feeding your grass and killing weeds
A MAN with a love for lawn care has shared his top product to bring your grass back to life and simultaneously get rid of pesky weeds.
His must-have gardening buy works for all kinds of yards, even the ugly ones.
Self-described Lawn Care Nut Allyn Hayne provides DIY solutions for beginners to experts with a green thumb.
Utilizing his gardening expertise, he provides recommendations based on specific soil and geographic location, including what fertilizers to “throw down” and when to do it.
He revealed in a YouTube video how you can revitalize your “ugly lawn” with a single application.
He swore by one type of product” for outdoor greenery, like the Bio-Advanced 3-in-1 Weed and Feed for Southern Lawns, which costs $30.99 at Home Depot for a 12.5-pound bag.
He emphasized that shoppers shouldn’t focus on the brand name but rather on the 3-in-1 aspect, which means that one product has three purposes.
A few product examples are Scotts Turf Builder Triple Action, $37.49, found primarily in the Northeast, and Preen One Lawncare.
Scotts Turf Builder Triple Action is a 3-in-1 formula that controls existing dandelion, clover, and ground ivy, to name a few, and prevents crabgrass for four months.
In one “time-saving step,” Preen One kills broadleaf weeds, prevents crabgrass, and feeds your lawn.
“It’s going to feed the lawn. It’s going to prevent some future weeds, and it’s going to kill a lot of weeds that are there,” Allyn explained.
“All three of those are going to happen with one application. That’s a good product. You could even call it a miracle product.”
Allyn added that the “weed and feed” is available at every big-box store in the country, including Lowes, Walmart, and Amazon.
Regardless of your geographic location, he suggested going to the store and asking for a 3-in-1 product recommendation because “they know what to carry.”
“The box stores are smart and they know what grass types are in your area,” he added.
Allyn admitted that he doesn’t typically recommend weed and feed products.
The video was aimed at beginners whose lawns were “pale” and “not growing” with dandelions and weeds everywhere.
It’s great for people who are just starting or need to hit a “reset” button to “jump-start their lawn” back to health.
“It’s never too late to start” when it comes to your “lawn care relationship.”
