A special court in Mumbai expressed concern over the absence of BJP MP Pragya Singh Thakur in the 2008 Malegaon blast case trial, asking the NIA to verify her health condition. Thakur, a prime accused in the case, had sought exemption from appearance due to health issues. The court had issued a bailable warrant against her earlier for not attending proceedings but cancelled it after she appeared. However, she has since been absent. The court directed the NIA to submit a report on her health by April 8.
