Choppy day on Wall Street, Dow Jones drops 43 points

NEW YORK, New York - U.S. stocks put in mixed performances on Wednesday, leading to a positive close for the Nasdaq Composite and Standard and Poor's 500, while the Dow Jones index languished. Moves in either direction however were limited.

"The invincible stock market of the past five months is the exception, not the norm," Yung-Yu Ma, chief investment officer at BMO Wealth Management told CNBC Wednesday.
