Fallen tree and wires results in closure of NY-22 near Canaan

CANAAN, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A section of State Route 22 near Canaan has been closed in both directions following reports of a fallen tree and wires in the roadway, according to the Department of Transportation. All lanes between between Queechy Lake Drive and U.S. Route 20 are currently closed.

The fallen debris is attributed to storm conditions in the area. Drivers are encouraged to seek alternate routes at this time.
